Bangladesh Peace Party
A rally organised by Bangladesh Peace Party was held in front of Jatiya Press Club on Saturday. In the rally the speakers demanded cancellation of undemocratic, unconstitutional and black law for the registration of political parties. The rally was attended, among others, by Central Joint Secretary General of the party Advocate Mohammad Zahangir Alam, Central Organizing Secretary Kaisarul Islam, Assistant Organising Secretary Al Mujib, Assistant Law Secretary Kazi Aslam and Assistant Publicity Secretary Anisur Rahman.. Chairman of the party Advocate Syed Abdullah Shahid presided over the programme.
Uttara Ladies Club
A discussion in observance of the 97th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2016 organised by Uttara Ladies Club (ULC) was held in a befitting manner. It also organised an art competition with participation of students from charity schools and served foods among them. President of the club Jahanara Hossain and Advisor Begum Mamtaj Hossain, executive committee members and members of the club were present, among others, during the function. Prizes were distributed among the winners of the competition. Later, a documentary film was also screened.
BNS Logistic Bangladesh
‘Bangla Cine Award’ giving ceremony will be held at Colden Centre at New York in the USA on April 17. BNS Logistics Bangladesh and New York Global Business Communication Network would organise the programme. This was disclosed at a press conference held at Jatiya Press Club on Friday. Film Directors Kazi Hayat, Mohiuddin Faruk, Rafiqul Islam Liton and Managing Director of BNS Logistic Bangladesh Salahuddin Ahmed Shimul spoke in the conference. The award will be given in 25 categories of 18 nominated films released in 2014-15. Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu is expected to present on the occasion as the chief guest while State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki as the special guest.
