Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
The inaugural session of the national council of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on Friday. Leaders of different political parties was present in the conference. While addressing the speakers called upon the pro liberation forces to forge a greater unity to build resistance against militancy. The conference was addressed, among others, by Awami League Presidium member and Health and Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, JSD General Secretary Sharif Nurul Ambia and Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua . JSD President and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu presided over the programme.
Ganotantri Party
The council of Ganotantri Party, Narayanganj district and city unit was held in Narayanganj on Friday. President of the central committee of the party Barrister Mohammad Arash Ali was present as the chief guest. While speaking Arash said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to establish Bangladesh with the spirit of Liberation War overcoming all conspiracies in home and abroad. The council was addressed, among others, by presidium member of the party Nurur Rahman Selim, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University Prof Dr Mohammad Shahidullah Sikder, presidium member and freedom fighter Z AD A Wahed and presidium member Advocate Kazi Rahisul Haque Masuk. Convenor of the council preparation committee Engineer Mohammad Baiozid presided over the programme.
