Sheikh Russell Shishu-Kishore Parishad
A discussion organised by Sheikh Russell Shishu-Kishore Parishad was held followed by a prize giving ceremony in the auditorium of the National Sports Council in the city on Monday marking its 28th founding anniversary. Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest. While speaking Nasim called upon the children to read books to know Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the senior Awami League leader said, “You have to know who was Bangabandhu and how he presented independence of Bangladesh waging a long and arduous freedom struggle. Chairman of the Parishad Raquibur Rahman presided over the function. The programme was addressed, among others, by former joint secretary of Awami League Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, secretary general of the Parishad Mahmud-us-Samad Chowdhury, MP and its adviser Sirajul Islam Mollah, MP.
