Dhaka Mahanagar CNG Auto-Rickshaw Sramik Union
A human chain organised by Dhaka Mahanagar CNG Auto-Rickshaw Sramik Union was formed in front of Jatiya Press Club in the city on Saturday to meet its 10-point demands including implementation of CNG-run 4-stroke three wheelers service policy through amendment. The human chain was addressed, among others, by President of the organisation Selim Sheikh, Exective President Masud Rana, Vice-President Ahid, General Secretary of Dhaka Auto-Rickshaw Sramik Union Mohammad Hanif and President of Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation Mohammad Baharane Sultan Bahar. The human was presided over by the Convenor of the organisation Atikur Rahman Aslam. The leaders of the union also declared to hold rally and demonstration in front of the Jatiya Press Club on March 5 next to press home its demands.
Shishu Kishore Mela
A rally organised by Shishu Kishore Mela was held in front of Jatiya Press Club on Friday. In the rally the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to the killers of children. They also called upon to ensure fundamental rights of children. The speakers urged all the conscious citizens to be united against the repression on children. As the children are the future of the nation, so, it is our sole responsibility to protect the children, the speakers opined. The event was addressed, among others, by the member of central advisory council of Samajtantrik Mahila Forum Samsunnahar Joyotsona, president of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Dhaka city unit Ruksana Afroz Asha and member of the central committee of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal Zahedul Haque Milu. President of Samajtantrik Mahila Forum Raushan Ara Rusho presided over the programme.
