CHT Hill Students’ CouncilA rally jointly organised by Chittagong Hill Tracts Hill Students’ Council and Bangladesh Adibashi Chhatra Sangram Parishad was held at the foot of Aparajeya Bangla of Dhaka University on Thursday. In the rally the speakers demanded for introduction of primary education in respective mother language. After the rally a procession was brought out on Dhaka University campus to press home its demands. President of the organisation Karington Chakma presided over the programme.Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal A discussion on ‘Role of Toyaha in language movement and non-communal Bangladesh’ organised by Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal was held on Wednesday at the Jatiya Press Club. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu urged all to be united to resist evil forces who are repeatedly opposing progresses of Bangladesh. We have to remain alert and united to resist their conspiracy (BNP-Jamaat clique) to build a non-communal Bangladesh with the spirit of War of Liberation, he added. The discussion was addressed, among others, by journalist and columnist Syed Abul Maksud and Head of the Department of International Relation of Dhaka University Delwar Hossain. General Secretary of the organisation Dilip Barua presided over the programme.
