BD Freedom Fighters Welfare Trust
Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Welfare Trust (BFFWT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday at the Vice-Chancellor’s (VC’s) lounge of the university. VC Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and Director (Welfare) of BFFWT M Abu Taleb Molla were present, among others, on the occasion. DU Treasurer Prof Dr M Kamal Uddin and Managing Director of BFFWT Dr M Nurannabi Mridha signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. According to the MoU, the DU and BFFWT will jointly conduct research activities on the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Arefin thanked the Trust authorities for signing the MoU. He said the Liberation War of Bangladesh is one of the most glorious chapters in human history. VC urged the researchers to unveil the unrevealed history of the Liberation War through research.
Save The Environment Movement
Different organisations including Save The Environment Movement, Pallima Green and Bangladesh Cancer Society jointly formed a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday. In the human chain the speakers demanded for quality development of the country’s health services. They also urged ministers, politicians and bureaucrats to take treatment from the country’s hospitals. The event was addressed, among others, by Chairman of the organisation Abu Naser Khan, Member Secretary of Pallima Green Anisul Hossain, Secretary General of Bangladesh Cancer Society Dr SM Abdur Rahman, President of Environment Development Society Burhan Uddin Ahmed and Sayeda Shamima Sultana of Pallima Mahila Parishad. The programme was presided over by Joint General Secretary of the organisation Hafizur Rahman Moyna.
