President and General Secretary of Sammilito Sangkritik Jote Golam Quddus and Hasan Arif respectively in a statement have expressed deep condolence over the death of Altaf Mahmud, President of a faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ). They also extended profound sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul. They said Altaf Mahmud played pioneering role to realize the demands of journalists and uphold the ideology of the glorious Liberation War.

Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Dal Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a statement on Monday bitterly criticised the arrest of General Secretary of Senbag Poura BNP Mohammad Shahidullah, BNP General Secretary of 6 No Kabilpur Union of Senbag upazila Anowaralluah Bahar, Senbag Poura Jubo Dal General Secretary Emam Hossain, Senbag Poura Chhatra Dal General Secretary Jahangir Hossain and others. He demanded release of all detained leaders and withdraw false cases filed against them immediately. Fakhrul called upon all the leaders and activists of the party to be united against the undemocratic activities of the ruling party government.
