National Freedom Fighters’ Foundation
A roundtable conference organised by National Freedom Fighters’ Foundation (NFFF) was held at the Roundtable Conference Hall Room of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha on Saturday. In the roundtable the speakers pledged to perform their duties to expedite the country’s development activities led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The speakers also called upon the all freedom fighters to be united against extremism and terrorist activities. The conference was addressed, among others, by Professor of Dhaka University Dr Syed Anwar Hossain, President of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebok League Advocate Molla Abu Kawser and Jatiya Press Club President Shafiqur Rahman. NFFF Chairman Dr SM Jahangir Alam presided over the programme.

BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a statement condemned the arrest of Narail Sadar Upazila Chairman and thana BNP General Secretary Manirul Islam. Fakhrul demanded unconditional release of Manirul Islam withdrawing all false cases filed against him.
Bangladesh Teachers Association
A meeting of Bangladesh Teachers Association was held at its Segunbagicha office in the city with President Abu Bakar in the chair yesterday. In the meeting, the teachers demanded implementation of Education Policy-2010 and 8th pay-scale immediately. The meeting also decided to hold a press conference on December 20 on different issues
Betagi Upazila Kalyan Samity, Dhaka
The annual picnic and prize-giving ceremony of Betagi Upazila Kalyan Samity, Dhaka was held at Sonargaon Tourist home on Friday . President of the organisation Ziaul Kabir Dulu presided over the prize-giving ceremony and Md Nizamul Haq Nasim, Justice of High Court Division of the Supreme Court was present as Chief Guest while Shawkat Hasanur Rahman Rimon MP and newly- elected Betagi Poura Mayor Alhaj ABM Golam Kabir as special guests. The function was conducted by Joint Secretary of the organisation Md Selim Mia .
FP 4th Class Govt Employees Assoc
A 27-member executive committee of Bangladesh Family Planning 4th Class Govt Employees Association , Khulna Unit was formed recently with Montu Kumar Das and Md Humayun Kabir as its President and General Secretary respectively. Other newly-elected office-bearers of the committee are: Chief Adviser – VP Kausuzzaman (Kayas) , Vice President – Nowfel Hossain, Organising Secretary- Md Rajib Hossain and Office-Secretary- Uttam Kunmar Das.
