Bangabandhu Academy
A seminar on ‘Contemporary Politics’ organized by Bangabandhu Academy was held at Biruttam Khawza Nizamuddin Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity. Liberation War Affair Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was present as the chief guest. While speaking Mozammel reiterated his commitment to build “Sonar Bangla (Golden Bengal)” by thwarting all conspiracies of the anti liberation forces and militants. The minister said all anti-liberation forces would be faced politically on the streets for building Sonar Bangla, as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through implementing the spirit of Liberation of War. Paying tribute to the memories of the martyrs and recalling historic events of March 1971, the minister said ” in this month of independence, we have to advance under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a firm vow to build collaborators free Bangladesh for making democratic practice uninterrupted.” Presided over by Academy’s Advisor Chittaranjan Das, the discussion was also addressed by Secretary General Humayun Kabir Miji, Awami League leader Advocate Asaduzzaman Durjoy and 14-party alliance leader Harun Chowdhury.
Swadhinata Academy
A discussion on ‘Bangabandhu’s Call on Historic March 7’ organized by Swadhinata Academy was held on Friday at Sagor-Runi auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the city.
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu was present as the chief guest. While addressing Inu castigated BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia for not practicing correct politics as she refrained from making any statement on the historic March 7 Speech of Bangabandhu. He described militancy as ‘political garbage’ and said the BNP chairperson must leave the association of militants for holding a meaningful dialogue with the government.
President of the Academy Advocate Nurul Islam presided over the function while Vice-Chancellor of World University Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, noted journalist Abed Khan and artiste of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Monoranjan Goshal also spoke. Inu advised Begum Zia to accept Bangabandhu as Father of the Nation and walk on the right track.
