Puja Udjapan Parishad
Leaders of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad demanded three-day public holiday on the occasion of holy Durga Puja. They raised the demands on Monday while exchanging views with journalists prior to the five-day Durga Puja festival at the auditorium of Dhakeshwari National Temple in the city. Parishad President Kajal Debnath presided over the opinion sharing meeting. The programme was also addressed, among others, by Parishad leaders Dr Nim Chandra Bhowmik, Swapan Kumar Saha, vocalist Rathindra Nath Roy, JL Bhowmik and Narayan Saha Moni. General Secretary of the organisation Jayanta Kumar Deb presented the written statement.
