Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee
A discussion on birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna organised by Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee was held at Dhakeshwari National Temple in the city on Friday with a call to ensure rights of religious minority. Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry Suranjit Sengupta inaugurated the function with the President of the committee J L Bhoumik in the chair. Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran attended the programme as the chief guest. While speaking Pankaj said bonds between Bangladesh and India are traditionally inseparable. “India will always stand beside the people of Bangladesh,” he said. The event was also addressed, among others, by Principal of the Rama Krishna Mission Drubeshananda Moharaj, Shebayet Pradip Kumar Chakravarty and Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad President Kajal Debnath.
