Steps Towards Development
A seminar on ‘Sustainable Development Goals: Bangladesh’s Position and Way Forwards’ organised jointly by Steps Towards Development and World Vision Bangladesh was held in the city on Thursday. State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan was present as the chief guest. While speaking Mannan said civil society has more scope to contribute to the country’s development activities because they have the knowledge-efficiency. Bangladesh Human Rights Commission member Kazi Riazul Haq, Prof MM Akash of Dhaka University, Research Fellow of BIDS Dr Abul Bashar and Executive Director of Steps Towards Development Ranjan Karmaker, among others, spoke at the seminar. Advocacy Director of World Vision Bangladesh Chandan C Gomes presided over the programme.
