Nazrul-Promila Parishad
The Central Committee of Nazrul-Promila Parishad, a cultural and research organisation which works on the life and works of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and his wife Promila Nazrul, was reorganized recently by electing Poet Amena Khatun and M A Monnaf Khan as its President and General Secretary respectively. The other members are: Vice Presidents-Begum Shamsujjahan Nur, Moslehuddin Khan Majlish, Engineer M Azizul Islam and Anwar Hossain Badal, Organizing Secretary-Timuni Khan Rino, Office Secretary-Dr. MA Muktadir, Assistant General Secretary-Md. Habiluddin, Finance Secretary-Hafizur Rahman Kabir, Publicity Secretary-Matiara Chowdhury Minu, Assistant Publicity Secretary-Dewan Rabiul Islam and Cultural Secretary-Riad Mahmud Khan. Mozammel Hossain Babor chaired the meeting. The parishad will work for the next two years.
