Awami Jubo League
A discussion on the inauguration of a photographic show titled “Statesman Sheikh Hasina and her struggle for democracy” organised by Awami Jubo League (AJL) was held on Tuesday in the auditorium of Shilpakala Academy at Segunbagicha in the city. Awami League Presidium Member and Health Minister Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest. While speaking Nasim said the ruling party must consolidate further its unity fearing an existing political vacuum in the absence of a strong opposition could create grounds for plots like the 1975 putsch. AJL Chairman Omar Faruque Chowdhury presided over the event. The programme was also addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Harun-ar-Rashid, Presidium Member Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury and Joint Secretary Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi.
