Dhaka WASA Sramik Union
A discussion organized by Dhaka WASA Sramik Union was held at Karwan Bazar in the city on Thursday marking the National Mourning Day and the 40th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Joint General Secretary of Awami League Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif, MP was present as the chief guest. While speaking Hanif said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia cannot topple the present government by hatching any conspiracy. Presided over by Dhaka WASA Sramik Union President Hafiz Uddin, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Awami League Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmood Chowdhury, MP, Labour Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj and Managing Director of Dhaka WASA Taksin A Khan. In the event the speakers called upon all to be imbued with the ideals of War of Liberation to help the present government.
