Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
A memorial meeting on Col Abu Taher, Bir Uttam organised by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal was held recently at the Col Taher auditorium at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city. Information Minister and President of the organisation Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said Zia should be tried posthumously for illegally executing Colonel Taher. He called for a broad-based political unity to permanently eliminate the militants and war criminals. Earlier, Inu and other party leaders, placed wreaths at the portrait of Abu Taher. The programme was also addressed, among others, by Shirin Akhter, MP, Lutfa Taher, MP and other leaders of the organisation.
