Bangamata Parishad
A discussion on ‘Responsibility of citizens in resisting the Jamaat-BNP’s conspiracy and militant politics” organised by Bangamata Parishad was held at the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Thursday. Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam was present as the chief guest in the discussion. While speaking Quamrul said, ‘BNP was born in the womb of Jamaat through conspiracy. Zia and BNP came into emergence through the assassination of Bangabandhu. So, the party can never stay without hatching conspiracy.’ Founder-General Secretary of the Parishad M Anisur Rahman presided over the programme. The event was addressed, among others, by Awami League Organising Secretary Ahmed Hossain, President of the Jatiya Press Club M Shafiqur Rahman and Muktijoddha Council leader Shafiqul Bahar Mazumder Tipu.
