A discussion organised by the Sandwip Development Forum was held at Col Taher Auditorium in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Wednesday to commemorate the devastating cyclone that hit southwestern Bangladesh on April 29 in 1991. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said that the nation had to face man-made disasters like militancy and terrorism along with natural disasters like cyclones, tidal surges and earthquakes. Leaders of the organisation addressed, among others, on the occasion.
