Bharatia Parishad
An opinion sharing meeting organised by Bharatia Parishad was held with professionals in the auditorium of Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad in the city’s Topkhana Road on Friday supporting mayoral candidate of Dhaka South City Corporation Baharane Sultan Bahar. In the meeting the speakers urged the Election Commission and Government to create democratic environment to hold city corporation polls peacefully. In the event Bahar said ‘I am taking part in the election to take the society forward’. The meeting was addressed, among others, by labour leaders Harunur Rashid Bhuiyan, AM Foyez Hossain, garments sramik leaders Lovely Yasmin, Jahanara Begum and Golam Quader. President of Chhinnamul Hawkers’ Samity Kamal Siddiqui presided over the programme.
