Garments Sramik Sanghati Federation
A rally organised by Garments Sramik Sanghati Federation was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Monday. In the rally the speakers bitterly criticized the terminations of 30 leaders of Rupa Sweater Private Ltd Sramik Sanghati Union and Rupa Apparels Private Limited Sramik Sanhati Union. The event was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the federation Smrity Aktar Shahida, its central leaders Oli Ahmed and Morshed Alam Kawser. President of the organisation Mohammad Shah Alam presided over the programme. The leaders of the federation called upon the owners of the two factories for the payment of arrear salaries of the employees immediately.
