Convenor of Dhaka City Shops Owners Association Toufique Ehsan in a statement on Saturday called upon all the shop owners of the city to keep their shops open during hartal called by BNP-led 20-party alliance on February 1,2 and 3. He said violence on the streets cannot solve the ongoing political crisis, rather it increases people’s sufferings. He urged all the leaders of the political parties to solve the present political impasse immediately through dialogue and create congenial atmosphere for business for the greater interest of the country’s economy.
