Shilpi Samaj
A rally organised by Shilpi Samaj, a platform of artists was held on Thursday in front of the National Museum in the city’s Shahbagh. In the rally the speakers urged the BNP-Jamaat alliance to stop ‘violence, killing and arson attacks’ across the country. They also urged the country’s people to resist the subversive acts unleashed in the name of political movement. Presided over by the Chairman of the Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, the rally was addressed, among others, by Prof Robiul Islam of the faculty, spokesman of a faction of Ganajagaran Mancha Kamal Pasha and artist Abdul Mannan.
