A discussion meeting organised by Shaheed Dr Milon Memorial Union was held at the Teachers-Students Center (TSC) street-island of Dhaka University on Thursday to commemorate the martyrdom of Shaheed Dr Milon in 1990 in the anti-autocracy movement. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While addressing Inu said that like the war criminals’ trial, the trial of Dr Milon’s killing would be held. To secure the democratic progress of the nation it is necessary to exclude the anti-liberation, communal and militant groups and their patrons from the politics of the country, he added. President of the organisation Professor Dr Moazzem Hossain presided over the programme. General Secretary of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), Khalequzzaman Bhuiyan, Begum Lutfa Taher, MP and Professor M M Akash were present, among others.
