Sheikh Kabir Hossain, President of Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) in a statement on Thursday expressed his grave concern over the routine strike by the political party for insignificant issues. Kabir Hossain, also former Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, urged the Jamaat-e-Islami to call off its nationwide hartal. He, however, said it is our duty to obey the decision of the court and lawmakers and settle an issue through an alternative to hartal to avoid insecurity and loss of life and property.
