Bangladesh Minority Sangram Parishad
A rally organized by Bangladesh Minority Sangram Parishad was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Friday. In the rally the speakers condemned over the vandalizing of idols in various places of the country including Natore, Lohagara in Narail and Dayaganj in the city. They urged the authority concerned to nab the culprits immediately and give exemplary punishment. The rally was addressed, among others, by President of the parishad Principal Ashok Taru Saha, General Secretary Advocate Ashok Kumar Ghosh, Advocate Swapan Roy Chowdhury and Harendranath Majumder. They also urged the government to take necessary steps to ensure security measures during Durga Puja, the greatest religious festival of the Hindu community.
