In order to ensure modern education, IT experts and officials stressed the need for using ICT in entire education sector aiming to build skilled workforce in the country.
” Use of ICT in education will significantly contribute to help tap full potentials of students,” they told the inaugural session of a two-day workshop in the BNCU conference room at Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) here on Monday.
Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO(BNCU) are jointly organizing the workshop on “The use of ICT in literacy and non-Formal Education”.
Education Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, ICT Specialist Prof Dr Mohammad Kaikobad and Additional secretary of the Education Ministry Dr Aruna Biswas, among others, addressed the workshop with BNCU Secretary Md Manzur Hossain in the chair.
As part of massive campaign of building “digital Bangladesh” by 2021, the government has already set up 23,500 multimedia classrooms with developing digital content aiming to bring change into teaching methods ensure better learning of students.
