A solid 109-run opening stand by Nasiruddin Farque and Abdul Razzak Rajib enabled Victoria Sporting Club to earn a 32-run victory over Partex Sporting Club in the rain-affected relegation league of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Friday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Put to bat first by Partex Sporting Club, Victoria SC scored 120 for one in reduced 20 overs courtesy of Nasiruddin (52 n.o) and Abdul Razzak (50) after the match was rolled on the reserve day.
Zakaria Masud took one wicket for Partex.
In reply, Partex Sporting Club found the chase stiff as they were restricted at 88 for 4 from their stipulated 20 overs with opener Jony Talukder top scoring 34 runs for Victoria.
Moinul Islam and Monir Hossain shared two wickets each for Victoria.
Nasiruddin Faruque of Victoria was named the player of the match.
