The daylong Independence Day Walton Refrigerator Open Wrestling Competition will be held on Wednesday (March 26) at the Kabaddi Stadium in the city.A total of 100 participants from Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, district and divisional sports associations from across the country will compete in the meet, sponsored by RB Group. Bangladesh Army, for the first time ,is participating in the meet.The competition will be held in 16 weight categories – eight of men’s and eight of women’s.In this regard, a press conference was held on Monday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room to give all the details of the meet.Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation vice president and Walton additional director, heads of games and sports, FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, general secretary Tabiur Rahman Palowan and Walton executive director SM Zahid Hasan were present, among others, at the press conference.
