The Popular Life Insurance Dhaka Metropolis Open Women’s Volleyball Competition began at the Volleyball Stadium on Saturday.
Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited BM Yousuf Ali inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and Deputy-Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Vice-Presidents of BVF Tabiur Rahman Palowan, Mostafa Kamal were present at the time.
Chairperson of Women’s Volleyball Committee and Police Super (CID) Syeda Jannat Ara presided over the inaugural ceremony.
In the day’s matches, Wari Club defeated Sparkling Andromeda Club by 2-0 sets, United Club overcame Bangladesh University of Professionals by 2-0 sets, Shahbagh Sporting Club eased past Dhaka University by 2-0 sets, Wari Club defeated University of Professionals by 2-0 sets, Sparkling Andromeda Club beat United Club by 2-0 sets.
Today’s matches : Viqarunnisa Noon School & College vs Dhaka University (2.00 pm),
Bangladesh University of Professionals vs Sparkling Andromeda Club (2.00 pm),
Wari Club vs United Club (3.00 pm),
