All the finals of 1st Open Tennis competition will be held today (Thursday) at Ramna National Tennis Court Complex in the city.
The finals will start at 10 am.
On way to the final in men’s singles semi-finals on Wednesday, top seed Amol Roy of Engineer Recreation centre beat Delwar Hossain of NTC 6-4, 6-1 while Dipu Lal of Nova Nordics Farma defeated Milon Hossain of American Club 6-2, 6-3 to move in the final.
In the women’s singles semi-finals, Afrana Islam Pretty of BKPS outplayed her teammate Eti Akter 6-3, 6-0 while Poppy Akter of BKSP outclassed Ayesha Sultana of Ansar and VDP 6-3, 6-1 to reach the final.
In the boys’ singles 18-year group semi-finals, Faruk Hossain of Elite Tennis defeated Rubel Hossain of Pabna Samsung H Chowdhury Tennis Club 3-6, 6-3 and 6-3 while other semi-final between M Istiak and Mehedi Hasan were in progress when the last report came in.
