The Open Karate Competition-2022 was held marking the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the city’s Gandaria recently.
Wushu Fighter Martial Arts Association organized the programme.
Saidur Rahman Shahid, former councillor and President of the organization presided over the programme.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Martial Arts Confederation Hasanuzzaman Moni was present as the chief guest in the inauguration ceremony.
Shahana Akter, Councillor of Ward No-47 of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was the chief guest in the prize-giving ceremony.
Moazzem Hossain Sentu, Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Karate Federation, Shahjahan Mintu, Convener of Gandaria Samaj Kalyan Samity and Monjur Hossain Monju, President of Shahidnogor Samaj Kalyan Samity, were present as special guests in the programme.
Grand Master Sihan Anisur Rahman Nayon (Black belt, 7th Dan) virtually oversaw and directed the programme from Canada.
