Open chess team share lead after 2nd round

Bangladesh open team sharing lead along with other 35 teams earned maximum 4 match points and 6 game points after 2nd round games of the Open Section of 41st World Chess Olympiad is now being held in Tromso, Norway.
Bangladesh chess team beat Chile by 3-1 points in the 2nd round games of the Open Section.
In the 2nd round games were held on Sunday, 55 seeded Bangladesh open team beat 50 seeded team Chile confidently. GM Ziaur Rahman (Rating-2523) beat GM Vasquez Schroeder Rodrigo (Rating-2533) of Chile and IM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar (Rating-2418) defeated IM Henriquez Villagra Cristobal (Rating-2457) of Chile.
GM Abdullah Al Rakib (Rating-2522) split points with GM Flores Rios Mauricio (Rating-2537) and GM Niaz Murshed (Rating-2453) drew with IM Valenzuela Fuentealba Luis (Rating-2455) of Chile.
In the women’s section, 58 seeded Bangladesh women’s team lost by 0-4 points to Armenia’s 10 seeded team. WIM Shamima Akter Liza (Rating-2147) lost to IMMkrtchian Lilit (Rating-2453), WFM Nazrana Khan (Rating-2001) lost to IMGalojan Lilit (Rating-2275), WIM Rani Hamid (Rating-1995) lost to WGM Kursova Maria (Rating-2313) and WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin (Rating-1984) lost to Sargsyan Shushanna (Rating-2109).
After the second round, Bangladesh women’s team earned 2 match points and 4 game points.
