Norwegians spent more than 21 billion kroner (2.64 billion U.S. dollars) for online shopping in 2017, up 13.5 percent year on year from a year earlier, online newspaper E24 reported Friday.
A report from Statistics Norway showed that Norwegians spent on average more than 4,000 kroner per person, and the increase was significant due to shopping of electronic and specialty goods, the report said.
There was also an increase in retail trade, where the goods were sold for 488 billion kroner, which is 2.5 percent more than in 2016.
Shops selling and repairing motor vehicles earned 259 billion kroner in 2017.
