‘Online learning summit kicks off at DIU

A three-day online ‘online learning summit-2020’ from 14-16 May 2020 begins yesterday. Daffodil International University (DIU) and a2i project of Bangladesh government is jointly organizing this summit. Honourable Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, M.P, Ministry of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh inaugurated the summit as the chief guest through Facebook page of DIU. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Sujon, Education Technology Expert, a2i project was present as the special guest.
Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University presided over the inaugural program, while Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil family and Sarwar Hossain Mollah, Head of the Department of Computing and Information Systems and Convener of the Online Learning Summit were also addressed. K M Hasan Ripon, Executive Director of BSDI moderated the program, says a press release.
The summit is a joint conference of teachers, students and online educators. The conference will feature various sessions, online class, plenary sessions, presentations of online teaching ideas, seminars and workshops for teachers, students, educators and innovators. The entire three-day conference will be held on an online platform.
Beside this, Dr. Dipu Moni, MP also inaugurated two education management software named http://schoolbd.ac/ and http://college.ac/ at the inaugural program. These two software havebeen develped by Daffodil Family and the software will be free for one year for all educational institutions of Bangladesh.
