Government of Bangladesh takes an initiative of admitting students in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) level through fully online process. Students who have passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam this year are eligible for this process to put a stop of irregularities in college admission process.
Dhaka Education Board college inspector Asfakus Salehin confirmed the matter on May 09, 2015 (Saturday). Currently, the colleges admit students based on their results in SSC or equivalent examinations.
The boards were asked to complete admission processes on online in case of colleges, which were allowed to admit more than 300 students. In addition, the colleges which have permissions to admit more than 500 students must complete their admission processes on online, he added. Asfakus Salehin further said all the educational institutions will be brought under the online admission system. However, a total of 1,479,266 students took part in the SSC examinations this year.
