Capital’s Rampura kitchen market chicken trader Md Salam Sheikh said that he also sold broiler chicken at Tk 155 per kg on Friday morning. But by night, the price had gone up. Now I am selling at a higher price because I have to survive cost.
He said, demand for broiler chickens is increasing. We think that this is one of the reasons of rising of prices. Moreover, the supply of broiler chickens in the market is a bit less. However,
the supply of Sonali chicken is quite good. Due to this, the price of broiler chicken has increased but the price of Pakistani Cock has decreased.
Kaptan Bazar businessman Md Milon said the supply of Sonali chicken has increased a lot. There is no shortage of Sonali chicken in the market. Due to this the price is a little lower. Nonetheless, the price has gone up due to low supply of broiler chickens. So our idea is that the price of Pakistani chicken may go up at the end of the week.
The price of egg remained stable with Tk 100-105 (per dozen). The price of vegetables in the market is showing lower trend as winter vegetables started to enter the market.
