A Chittagong court in a verdict here on Thursday sentenced a youth to death for killing his friend at Jamiatul Flaha Mosque area in the city in 2011.
Chittagong Metropolitan Session Judge Shahenoor pronounced the verdict convicting Jahed Mahmud, the then student of International Islamic University, for killing his university friend Kafil Uddin.
The court also fined the convict TK 10 thousand in the same verdict, court sources said.
The prosecution story, in short, is that Jahed stabbed to death his friend Kafil Uddin for a Laptop and some money at Jamiatul Flaha Mosque area in the city on December 8 in 2011
