One thousand pieces ofYaba tablets recovered by operating stomach of drug peddler

Detective branch of Barishal Metropolitan Police on Wednesday noon operating surgery on the stomach of a drug peddler recovered one thousand pieces of Yaba tablets.
Nasir Uddin Mallik, assistant commissioner of DB of BMP, said on basis of secret information police raiding the house of Sultan Mia at Rupatali area of the city on early Wednesday and detained four suspected drug peddlers from there.
During primary interrogation one of the arrestees Nure Alam, son of Abul Hashem from Charsita village of Laxmipur district, acknowledged that he carrying Yaba pouring that through anus to stomach in lieu of ten thousand taka.
Then Nure Alam was admitted at Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital and after ultrasonic examination doctors operating surgery at his stomach recovered the Yaba tablets packed in a plastic tube on Wednesday noon, said Dr. Ikhtiar Hasan of surgery ward.
Moazzem Hossain Bhuiyan, deputy commissioner DB of BMP, said Nure Alam carrying Yaba reached at the house of Sultan on Tuesday evening.
With other three associates they planned to oust the carried Yaba with the help of a local medical practitioner and reach those to there distribution points. However police getting information succeeded to arrest them.
