A person received bullet injury in a random shooting by an elderly man in the capital’s Rampura area on Tuesday evening.
However, the names of both could not be known.
Police could not detain the elderly man till Tuesday evening.
Rampura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Prolay Kumar told risingbd that the person’s age may be 80 years. He shot from his own licensed pistol. At one stage he took position coming inside the house with a pistol.
Locals said that the elderly man shot 2/3 rounds of bullets from the verandah of a house at Ullan Road of Rampur around 12.00pm. He retired from the Bangladesh Air Force.
