One Feroz Kabir, 23, yesterday was sent to the jail for distorting a photograph of the Prime Minister as per court order.
Accused Kabir allegedly posted a distorted photograph of the Prime Minister in Facebook. He comes from Sonaikandi area of Damkura Police Station in Rajshahi city.
Earlier, on Tuesday, an Awami League leader lodged a case against Kabir under the Digital Security
Act and the police arrested him on the same day.
The accused is a peddler by profession while the complainant Saidur Rahman is the President of Haripur Union Awami League in Rajshahi division.
Quoting the case, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbur Alam of Damkura Police Station said that the case was filed against Feroz Kabir on the charge of posting an objectionable photograph from his facebook account.
