One day labourer was killed and another was injured while cutting hill illegally in Paharika area of Khulsi yesterday.
The incident occurred at midnight of Monday . Khulsi thana police sources said day labour Md.Younus(60) along with Jafarullah(40) fell down from top of the hill and one severely injured failing on boundary wall of neighbor side.
Police on information rushed to the spot and rescued them from the spot who immediately admitted to CMC Hospital . Hospital sources said Md. Younus declared dead before admission in hospital and injured Jafrullah now under treatment.
Police sources said before reaching the spot, other labourers fled away from the spot and police managed to apprehend truck driver Fazlu and truck helper Abdul Alim. The incident occurred at midnight of Monday when they are illegally cutting the hill earth, sources said.
