One Shahid Shaikh (35), a small trader and a poor man of village Barabaria Charpara under Chitalmari Upazila was allegedly killed and his brother Saahid Shaikh (32) was seriously injured over playing of carom on Tuesday noon, according a delayed report s.
They are the sons of one late of Fazlul Shaikh of the village. Injured Saahid Shaikh was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a precarious condition.
Police and the locals said, on Sunday noon following the playing of carom an altercation took place between Shahid Shaikh, the owner of the carom board an his neighbour Lutfar Shaikh and at one stage Lutfar Shaikh broke the carom board into pieces. Consequently, a very bad relation was development between the two.
