A man was crushed under the wheels of train in Khagurtala area of Chandgaon thana in the city on Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Liton, 34, son of Sadak Ali, hailed from Mohora area under Chandgaon thana.
Police said Liton was killed as a train crushed him under its wheels while he was crossing the rail line on Chittagong – Dohazari railway track in the area today.
Government Railway Police (GRP) said, they recovered the body and sent to the morgue for autopsy.
An unnatural death (UD) case was lodged with railway police station in this connection.
