One person was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Munshir Masjidarea under Hathazari upazila of the district last morning.
The victim was identified as CNG passenger Humuyon Kabir, 30, son of Ishak Mia and hailed from Fatikchari upazila of the district.
The injured are Mohosena Begum, 45, Shetol Barua, 65, and Zena Alam, 25.
Mohammad Ismail, Officer-in-Charge of Hathazari thana said the accident occurred when a Chittagong-bound truck collided head-on with a Hathazari-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Munshir Mosjed area, leaving one passenger dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment, sources said.
