A motorbike rider was killed in a road accident in Pindong area under Fatikchhari upazila of the district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sekandor Mia, 32, son of Nurul Alam, of Narayan Hat area of the same upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a city-bound mini-truck collided head-on with a motorbike in the area, leaving bike rider Sekandor injured critically.
He was rushed to Fatikchhari Health Complex where the attending doctors declared him dead.
