A day labour was killed in a head-on collision between a sand-laden vessel and a trawler in Ichhamoti river in Alampur area of Shreenagar upazila of the district today.
Sub-Inspector of Shreenagar Police Station Uttam Kumar confirmed the accident and said the police have recovered body of the victim Akhter Hossain, 40.
The body was sent to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue.
