A man was killed and at least 20 others injured in a post-union parishad polls clash between the followers of elected and defeated candidates in Telikandi village of Pakshimul union in Sarail upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Mobashir, 24, a supporter of elected member of the UP Joynal.
The clash took place between the supporters of Joynal and the followers of defeated candidate Kamal Uddin around 8:00 pm. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shariar Al-Mamun confirmed the incident.
