One person was killed and three others went missing as a trawler capsized in the Meghna River in Ashuganj launch ghat on Sunday morning. Identity of the deceased and missing could not be known immediately. Officer-in-charge of Ashuganj Police Station Abu Zafar said the accident took place when the goods-loaded trawler with 10 passengers on board was heading towards Ashtragram around 7:00am. Six of the passengers managed to swim ashore while four others went missing. The missing passengers could not be traced out as of writing this report at 11:30am. The body was recovered from the river at about 11:00 am. Divers and local people were still continuing rescue operation. – Brahmanbaria, Mar 8 (UNB)
