A man was killed and two others were injured in a landslide while cutting a hill for road construction at Siddiqnagar in Bandarban Pouro area recently.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Zakaria, 40, a resident of Thanchi upazila.
Police and hospital sources said a large chunk of earth collapsed on the three labourers while cutting the hill in the area around 12pm, leaving Zakaria dead on the spot and two others injured.
