Comilla Correspondent :A local Awami League leader was killed and seven people were injured in a clash between the activists of Awami League and Jubo League at Kolakandi village in Titas upazila on Friday afternoon over establishing supremacy in the area.The deceased was identified as Rezaul Karim Sentu, 44, a leader of Kolakandi union AL.Witnesses said supporters of UP unit Jubo League leader Ibrahim and union AL president Habibullah Bahar locked into a clash at about 1am following previous rivalry.Both groups used lethal weapons during the half-an-hour clash that left Rezaul dead and seven injured.The injured were admitted to the local health complex.Titas thana OC Abdul Hannan said additional police force have been deployed in the area to avert further violence.
